The October 2009 issue of Derbyshire Life features an story by Pat Ashworth titled From the Bottom to the Top, showcasing one of our most dramatic garden transformations.
Nestled in the picturesque High Peak village of Chisworth, this project took an overgrown, precipitous rocky slope beside a Grade II listed mill cottage from the 1780s and reimagined it into an enchanting garden that feels like an extension of the surrounding countryside.
The design blurs the boundaries between the garden and nature, with a wildflower meadow that softens the edges, creating a sense of seamless flow and unconfined natural beauty.
