OUR SERVICES
At DK Garden Design, we offer a comprehensive range of garden design services from concept to completion. We also provide landscape planning application services to ensure compliance with local authority requirements. Below, you'll find an overview of how we can help fulfil your garden and landscaping needs, along with the steps we take to deliver our services.
How We Bring Your Garden to Life
With over 20 years of experience, we've continuously refined and adapted our approach. To help you understand how we create our award-winning gardens, here’s an overview of our garden design process.
Stage 1: Initial Visit
& Consultation
Due to the high volume of visit requests, a small fee may be charged, depending on your location and requirements. If you don’t have any ideas for your new garden, don’t worry—we’ll provide a full design. Photographs of your plot or existing garden will be taken to support the process.
Stage 2: Topographic
Plan & Survey
Topographic plans will be obtained for the plot. If these are unavailable, a full site survey will be conducted by David, or we can put you in touch with trusted surveyors we have worked with for many years, depending on the size and complexity of the project.
Stage 3:
Second Consultation
Once the site survey is complete, we'll arrange a second consultation where we'll present mood books showcasing initial planting ideas and suggestions for hard landscaping materials. This meeting gives you and David an opportunity to discuss the project and begin developing preliminary design plans.
Stage 4:
Third Client Meeting
At the third meeting, we’ll present preliminary plans and discuss any potential changes or modifications to be implemented in the final design. Depending on the scale of the project, we’ll then begin preparing 3D illustrations to show how the garden will look for the next stage.
Final Stage:
Design Consultation
At the final meeting, we'll provide fully dimensioned plans, detailing hard landscaping, materials, technical specifications, planting schemes and lighting plans—all as standard components of your final design pack. Finally, we’ll assist you in obtaining a quote for the implementation of the design, from our trusted contractors or one of your choice.
