Over the years I have designed and worked on some very challenging landscape and garden design projects with sloped gardens or areas of a project with slopes. This new project in Marple though wins hands down for the sheer drop involved to the back of the property. Leading from a small rear garden is the drop in question, leading into an area of ancient woodland and down to a small brook at the base of a steep ravine. The project will be one of the most challenging structurally as the client's brief is for a cantilevered platform shooting out from the end of the garden towards the woodland and with the added bonus of steps down to the brook. But it doesnât end there as part of the brief also requires a complete redesign of the front garden where I am planning contemporary rock formations inter-planted with edibles and herbs. Watch this space for future updates on this exciting journey into the extremes of contemporary garden design.

Really pleased with evolution of the concept designs for this new garden design project.
