Greenfield, Saddleworth, Lancashire
The clients brief for this garden design project in Greenfield, Oldham Lancashire UK a space that had a more grown up feel and one that was more usable acting as an extension to the home. A new wood store was also on the brief along with a new fence and gate of some description to replace the trellis fence and gate that separated the front and back garden areas. They wanted some form of usable social area close to the new contemporary glass extension that had recently been installed. With the redesign I set out to create a more intimate area closer to the house with raised beds in natural stone and York stone copings and filled with scented plants. A bespoke gate and hand rail was commissioned from a renowned sculptor artisan blacksmith whom I have worked with on many occasions. The completed garden was recently chosen for inclusion in an international book on Landscape Design.
