David Keegan Garden Design & Landscape Consultancy Scoops Top Design Award For The Second Year Running
Northern Design Awards
We are delighted to announce that, for the second year running, David Keegan Garden Design & Landscape Consultancy have won ‘Best Garden Designer 2011’ in the Northern Design Awards.
“It was a particular honour to receive the award this year especially given the very high standards of the other entries and the prestigious panel of Judges which included such industry luminaries as Sir Terence Conran, Diarmuid Gavin and Wayne Hemmingway.”
David Keegan
David was presented with his award by one of the judges, the celebrity garden designer and TV personality Diarmuid Gavin. He received the award for his design project, Thornlea farm which is set in the High Peaks in Derbyshire in a class-4 area of outstanding natural beauty.
Keegan’s design relied heavily on the sympathetic use of reclaimed local materials and a garden shed with a green sedum roof lending itself easily to the principles of a low impact and an environmentally friendly project.
He also went on to say how valuable it is to have such a prestigious event focusing on and recognising the talents of designers beyond the Watford Gap.
Special thanks for the event go to all the team at The Northern Design Awards who arranged the spectacular awards evening at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester, the event kicking off with a stunningly choreographed dance and light show. The event was so well staged from beginning to end with winning this prestigious award being the icing on the cake.
